About Lucy Yunxi Hu

Lucy is a research fellow by profession and an astrophotography enthusiast by passion, living in Canberra, Australia. Her love for the stars began in childhood, as she gazed upward with endless curiosity. That same wonder now fuels her astrophotography hobby - chasing stars across deserts, waiting long hours for eclipses, and capturing cosmic moments that can never be repeated. Over the years, that passion has grown into award-winning astrophotographer, with Lucy’s images featured on NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD), Earth Science Picture of the Day (EPOD), the David Malin Awards (DMA), DarkSky International, the International Photography Awards (IPA), the iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAwards), the International Landscape Photographer of the Year (ILPOTY), EarthSky, and Spaceweather.
